There is a big resurgence in classic frames with many riders using more modern wheels such as carbon or deep section alloy as their choice. I have now designed a set to fit various rim depths in a choice of colours. The rim depth measurement does not include the braking surface, which is normally around 11-12 mm, and even on disc brake wheels I would still avoid this theoretic part as many rims do still have a slight change in the composition in that area.
